In the attached advance notice, the Canadian Securities Administrators announce the expected adoption, effective January 1, 2011, of a mutual fund summary disclosure document, which mutual funds will prepare following new Form 81-101F3 Contents of Fund Facts Document.

The Commission and other CSA members also expect to adopt related amendments to

  • National Instrument 81-101 Mutual Fund Prospectus Disclosure
  • Form 81-101F1 Contents of Simplified Prospectus
  • Form 81-101F2 Contents of Annual Information Form
  • Companion Policy 81-101CP Mutual Fund Prospectus Disclosure
  • National Instrument 81-102 Mutual Funds
  • Companion Policy 81-102CP Mutual Funds
  • National Instrument 81-106 Investment Fund Continuous Disclosure
  • Companion Policy 81-106CP Investment Fund Continuous Disclosure
  • National Instrument 13-101 System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval.

Under the new Form and related amendments, mutual funds will be required to prepare a Fund Facts and to make them available to the public on a website.
