The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) are publishing for comment proposed amendments to National Instrument 31-103 Registration Requirements and Exemptions, its companion policy and a related form.

The attached CSA notice describes what the CSA are proposing. The proposed amendments explain the circumstances in which an international investment fund manager would need to register. It also describes, for a domestic fund manager with a head office in a Canadian jurisdiction, the circumstances in which the fund manager would be required to register in other provinces and territories.

We will consider all comments received by January 13, 2011.
