We are pleased to announce that the Attorney General has re-appointed the following members of SPAC for a term of two years effective April 1, 2006. They are:

Marc Castonguay, Pacific Corporate Trust Company
Philip J. Dowad, KPMG LLP
Dean E. Holley, CMC Capital Market Consulting Corp.
Lawrence A.W. Nielsen, Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management Ltd.
Victor J. O’Connor, McCullough O’Connor Irwin
Ali Pejman, Canaccord Capital Corporation

The Minister of Small Business and Economic Development appointed these members for a term of one year starting April 1, 2005. The re-appointments extend the members’ initial term to the usual three years under SPAC’s terms of reference.

SPAC is a volunteer committee that provides advice to the Commission on administrative, regulatory and legislative matters affecting the securities industry in the province. The minister responsible for the administration of the Securities Act appoints SPAC members who may also provide advice to the minister.

The current members of SPAC are:
