In the attached advance notice, the Canadian Securities Administrators announce the expected implementation of National Instrument 23-102 Use of Client Brokerage Commissions, and its related companion policy, effective June 30, 2010 (subject to ministerial consent).

The rule sets requirements for dealer and adviser conduct when advisers obtain goods and services, other than order execution, in connection with brokerage transactions involving client brokerage commissions.
