The British Columbia Securities Commission, having considered that to do so would not be prejudicial to the public interest, orders that the attached BC Instrument 32-502 entitled "Exemption from suitability requirements" is made, effective September 6, 2001.

Exemption from suitability requirements

Order under section 48 of the Securities Act

A registrant need not comply with section 48 of the Securities Rules if the registrant is a member of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada and complies with its ‘know your client’ and suitability requirements.
