The British Columbia Securities Commission, having considered that to do so would not be prejudicial to the public interest, orders that Blanket Order 33-502 entitled “Registration Requirements for Members of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada” is issued as set out in the attached Schedule.

BLANKET ORDER 33-502 (BC)

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERS
OF THE INVESTMENT DEALERS ASSOCIATION OF CANADA
Order Under Section 33 of the Securities Act

PART 1 EXEMPTION ORDER

1.1 Section 62 of the Securities Rules does not apply to a registered investment dealer provided that the investment dealer follows the bylaws, rules or other regulatory instruments or policies established by the Investment Dealers Association of Canada, relating to rewriting industry examinations.

1.2 Sections 77(1), (3)(a) and (4) of the Securities Rules do not apply to a registered investment dealer provided that the investment dealer files, in the required form, a conflict of interest rules statement, or, where permitted, a statement and undertaking, with the Investment Dealers Association of Canada.


PART2EFFECTIVE DATE

2.1 This Blanket Order comes into effect on February 1, 2000.
