RULE 44-802
IMPLEMENTING NATIONAL INSTRUMENT 44-102 -
SHELF DISTRIBUTIONS
1. Interpretation
In this Rule
(a) "Act" means the Securities Act,
(b) "NI 44-102" means National Instrument 44-102, entitled "Shelf Distributions",
(c) a term that is defined or interpreted in the Act has the meaning ascribed to it in the Act, and
(d) a term that is defined or interpreted in Part 1 of NI 44-102 has the meaning ascribed to it in that Part.
2. Application
The exemptions established under this Rule are in addition to those established under NI 44-102.
3. Shelf Prospectus
Sections 68 to 70 of the Act do not apply to a distribution of securities made in compliance with NI 44-102.
4. Effective Date
This rule comes into force on December 31, 2000.
